Send coupon by email

Hi Chris, thanks for your excellent plugin.
Is it possible to consider the possibility of the coupon being sent by email at the end of the purchase?
Do you think this feature will be easy to implement?
I think it could be an interesting feature.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks!

Hi Chris,
Do you had the opportunity to analyze this possible implementation?
Many thanks!
Thanks, Renato for reaching out. Please see my reply to your email.
Cheers
Chris
Hello,
I am curious if coupon code by email is also possible.Thank you and have an amazing day.
Hi Deyson,
I did think about the ability to email the coupon code, however there are already lots of great plugins out there like AutomateWoo that take care of this. The reason I built this in the first place was as a simple use it or lose it type scenario for a client. Had she wanted to email the customer instead, I most likely would have suggested we use something else.
Cheers
Chris
Hello,
I like that your plugin creates a personalized Coupon code.
Is there a way to send that personalized Coupon Code with AutomateWoo?Thank you and have an amazing day!
Hi Deyson,
Ahh ok got it.I am not sure whether that is a feature of Automate Woo. I assumed you could.
It is interesting to see the features that people like. I’ll take it on board for further revision when I have some time to spare 🙂
Cheers
Chris
Hi, Chris.
If they can get a personalized code on the checkout page and a reminder in the email it would be great.
Please keep me posted. Thank you and have an amazing day!
Hi Deyson,
Do you mean something like this https://sitebasedocs.s3-ap-southeast-2.amazonaws.com/thankyou_email.pngie. just added on to the processing order confirmation email?
If so, shoot me an email at my @ name at gmail.com and I will send you a copy to test.
@costar is this what you were after as well?
Cheers
Chris
Hi, Chris.
Yes, except I do not have a processing order since I sell Digital Downloads. Maybe in the Order Confirmation email would be better.
Also, it would be nice to have the Coupon code and message at the top as it may be missed at the bottom.
Something like this: http://files.deyson.com/Wvea49OThank you and have an amazing day! 🙂
Hi Chris,
Sorry for the delay…
Yes, is the feature that i talked to you.
You have to add the code to the Processing Order Email Template (after payment).
Only after the payment client receives the coupon code for the next purchase.Great news!
Chris, how we can test?
Thanks for your time.
Sorry guys, false start.
I’ve got to look at this in a bit more detail. Running into some issues with the order in which things are being processed.
Eg. in some cases the email is sent off before the coupon has been generated so it won’t show up on the email.
I’ll let you know how I go.
Thank you for the update. What if it is launched with the Receipt Email?
The issue is with any email. I was testing on a local WP and using the direct bank deposit payment method, which sets the initial status to on hold. When the order was changed to processing it would send the email with the personalised coupon.
As soon as I tested it with Stripe in sandbox mode I ran in to issues (which I was half expecting).
Reason being is this plugin hooks into an action hook on the thank you page to generate and display the coupon, and by that time the order confirmation emails have already been sent off.
I’ve got to generate the coupon before the emails have been sent, send it in the email if required and then also retrieve it to display on the thank you page. Basically unhook coupon creation from the thankyou page and move it up the line a bit.
So it isn’t the 30min fix I was hoping it would be.
Cheers
Chris
Thank you for the update. Please keep me posted and let me know if you need any testing.
Thank you and have an amazing day.
