Is the storeowner’s email on the same domain name as the store? I don’t know about GoDaddy’s specific configuration, but it’s common for the server’s mail system to think that email addresses on the local domain should be delivered locally, making it appear like they’ve disappeared. I haven’t read all the way through this article, but it looks like a good writeup of that problem.
If it’s on a different domain, my troubleshooting article here might be helpful even if the email isn’t in the storeowner’s spam folder: mail is often rejected before even reaching that point.

Hi,
Yeah it ok to close it.
But I would like to follow up on how I fixed it for anyone else having these problems.
I installed the plugin Easy WP SMTP, maybe any other would work too of course.
Then I used Office365 own smtp servers with our account. That did the trick in 95 percent of cases where the mails didn’t end up in spam box. I don’t really know but Office365 might be a more reliable mailer.
Thanks for the great support anyway!
Hi there @amc11,
Thank you so much for following up here with how you ended up resolving it, just in case it is helpful to anyone else! Much appreciated.
Have a good one!
