    Hi,
First off, thank you for providing this free plugin!

We have migrated a Magento shop to WooCommerce and transferred around 2000 customers, but we were unable to transfer the existing passwords due to privacy laws. So now, all Woo customers have some random password.

We would like to send all customers a password reset mail. Not just a link to the password forgotten page because then they will have to enter their username and wait for the email to arrive, this is not the smoothest flow.

We think the “User Lost Password – For User” might do the trick, but will this email get triggered when we do a bulk Password Reset via Emergency Password Reset (https://wordpress.org/plugins/emergency-password-reset/)

    Hi @puregraphx,
    Thanks for your message.

I’m not sure if BNFW will work with that plugin or not. My recommendation would be, being that you’re working with ~2000 customers, to create a staging site and test with a small subset of test users to see if BNFW works well with the Emergency Password Reset plugin.

I appreciate this isn’t a definitive answer but hope this helps.

I tested both plugins on another Woo webshop with me as the sole customer. It seems that
MASS Users Password Reset and Emergency password reset plugins send out their own email and do not use the User Lost Password – For User nor the Password Changed – For User.

Do you have a suggestion to bulk send a password reset link via mail to all customers?

    Hi @puregraphx,
Firstly, it’s worth checking to see if those plugins allow you to disable their email notifications in order to let BNFW, or the next one to override them, through instead. This wouldn’t be for disabling the notification itself, just disabling the function that sends out the emails from those plugins. This may then allow you to use BNFW.
Beyond that, I’m not sure without some trial and error of other plugins unfortunately. If you did find a plugin that works to reset all customer passwords though, BNFW should work well for you.
