• Dear all,

    I use CF7 since 2015 without trouble.
Now the clients are not receiving a confirmation mail anymore.
I received the mail send with CF7, but not the client.

To do the trick, I have to use the mail(2) option autoresponder.
This way the client received a confirmation mail.

Do you know a way around without using the mail(2) autoresponder option.

    Kind regards,
    George

  • I received the mail send with CF7, but not the client.

This confirms CF7 is sending emails as expected.

Therefore likely that emails sent via Mail(2) are being rejected as spam somewhere.

Before, CF7 was sending a confirmation mail without using the Mail(2) option.
    All was perfect.
But since last week, it was not sending the confirmation mail to the clients.

This is why, I am using the Mail(2) option. This way the clients can receive a proof that their mail was sent.
Do you know a way around by not using the Mail(2) option.

You can use cc: or bcc: in Mail > Additional Headers but you need to avoid the email to the client being rejected as spam as I noted above.

    Hi Neil,

It seems you did not catch my query.
Since 2015, a website was using CF7 for booking events.
CF7 was working fine, using only Mail(1).

Now when the customer clicks on SEND, CF7 is not sending a confirmation mail to this customer any more.
It used to do it before.
Now only the website owner received a mail.

So my question is: how to send a confirmation mail to the customer(s).

It seems you did not catch my query.

I’m pretty sure I do understand.

Your continued assumption is that CF7 is NOT sending the email from Mail(2).

My repeated reply is that CF7 is likely sending the email from Mail(2) but it is being rejected as spam somewhere.

The link I added above covers CF7 emails being rejected as spam (plus a host of other issues) in detail.
