[Resolved] semi transparent content background?

  • Hi,

    I’m using a child theme of Parabola and would like to make the content background (or body of the text area?) of my site semi transparent so the background picture I have uploaded will show through.

    How and where do I set the transparency?

  • The following code will reduce the opaqueness of content background.

    Edit the style.css of your child theme

    div.post, div.page, div.hentry, #comments, .comments, .column-text, .column-image, #srights, #slefts, #frontpage blockquote, .page-title, .page-header, article.post, article.page, article.hentry, .contentsearch, #author-info, #nav-below, .yoyo > li {
      background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.5);

    To know more about rgba() read RGBA Colors

    You are amazing! That works perfectly.

    Thank you!
