• Hi there, a few questions to help a friend of mine to setup Woo Commerce on their WordPress site built using Elementor Free version and the Afterpay plugin.

I’m trying to figure out the capabilities of using stripe with WooCommerce. In particular what my friend wants to do is be able to offer an online virtual service to customers where they can arrive to his woo commerce store, input their credit card information to be verified by Stripe as a valid credit card for an undetermined fee amount, and to retain the credit card information in Stripe / WooCommerce in connection with their wordpress user account, so that after they use the service, the website Admin can manually process the custom fee at a later time or date, depending on how much of the service they used.

What seems to me to be the most important is that their credit card information must be captured before they access the service but not for any specified amount. Nor would he be looking for payment installments. The actual amount will be determined later but need to have the ability to process the custom payment manually later.

Is this possible with Afterpay and Stripe and Woo Commerce or do I need some other plugins?

    Hi @parhamm,

    Thanks for your message.

Based on the description provided above, this type of integration is not offered by the Afterpay Gateway for WooCommerce plugin. Afterpay stores consumers’ credit card information securely in their Afterpay accounts, and would not capture any payment until the payment schedule and amounts have been reviewed and confirmed on the checkout.

    Thank you.
