SELF test fails
-
I’ve been trying to get my website working with Jetpack. I’ve gone through all jetpack support articles and I’ve tried more troubleshooting fixes than I can shake a stick at (both from the support articles and troubleshooting threads people have created on various website forums such as wordpress.com and stackoverflow etc). I’ve tried disabling all plugins and themes and used the default Twenty Fourteen theme when testing. I made sure with my hosting company that xml-rpc wasn’t being blocked.
I don’t know what else to do. I’ve literally spent more than 27 hours over the last 3 days trying to fix this.
The debug tool shows that all tests pass except for the SELF test which shows it encountered a 400 error. Please help. This is beyond infuriating.

This is the error from the debug

I have replied to your inquiry in this thread:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/debug-http-and-https-checks-pass-but-not-self/
Please respond in that thread if you have any followup questions.
Thanks!
For the sake of completeness this is what I’ve tried:
– Made sure XML-RPC is enabled within wordpress admin using the plugin “Control XML-RPC publishing”
– Contacted hosting company to make sure xml-rpc isn’t blocked
– Deactivated and deleted JetPack plugin and reinstalled it multiple times
– Disabled all themes (used default Twenty Fourteen theme) and plugins apart from JetPack.
– I’ve checked that the SSL certificate has a rating of A or better and that it’s not self signedEDIT:
– Tried all the steps mentioned here https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/troubleshooting-tips/I know I’ve tried a few other things but I can’t recall what they were.

Hi Darnell
Only saw your response now. I’ve listed what I’ve tried above.
I’m abandoning the use of JetPack. Integration shouldn’t be this difficult to get working.
Hi there,
We don’t see any errors at all on the debugger on our end – all tests pass at https://jetpack.com/support/debug/?url=https%3A%2F%2Finsurancenow.co.za%2F, and the Jetpack connection for your site appears to be working fine.
Aside from that one test failing for you, what is actually not working? If you can tell us the symptoms you’re seeing we might be able to suggest a fix.
