I am hosting a WordPress site on my local computer. Exactly how do I go about downloading a PlugIn when I don't have FTP on my machine? Please help. The last time I looked at WordPress (long time now) the PlugIn's just installed - MUCH simpler...
    Thanks,
    Paul

Go to http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/, find the plugin you want, download it, unpack it and drop it into wp-content/plugins.

    Job done! :-)

    There is no Download button...

If you go to the plugin page on this site (not via your WordPress site), there's a red download button.
