 * Okay, so this might be a weird question. But I’ve searched to no avail about
how to access my WordPress database using PHPmyadmin on a self hosted site. I
keep finding articles about how to access the database using software provided
by your hosting site. But my word press is actually running on a physical server
in the room next to me (not live yet). If this question is easy to answer I apologize,
I’m still new to all this PHP and SQL.

 * Can you ask the person who set it up? Without a WordPress MySQL Database the
site would not function. Does it?

 * If the server is yours, you can install phpMyAdmin on it. I haven’t done that
for a fair while, but I know that it can be downloaded and installed, but there
might also be a package that you can install through your OS’s package manager.

 * Thanks guys, actually I set it up. The site functions fine. The problem I actually
was having was phpmyadmin would not function because I had a outdated version
of MySQL running. So I thought I was trying to install phpmyadmin wrong. I put
an older version of Phpmyadmin on the server and it works fine now.
