`We would like to continue to investigate this issue and therefore, we expect few more information about your setup. This might help us replicate the issue on our end:
1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v17.8? If you update, does the issue resolve?
2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?
3. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.8.3? Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.
4. Are you seeing any JavaScript errors in your browser console?
After confirming everything above is in order but the issue still persists, we suggest doing a conflict check.
Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.
Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.
We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.
Hi,
1. Am using the last version : 17.9
2. All my plugins and themes are updated.
3. I am using the 5.8.3 version of Worpdress
4. I am not seeing JavaScript errors
It will be hard to test what you suggested since the error occurs randomly…
Its been a while now since Yoast is changing my slugs. And I thought it was fixed: https://yoast.com/help/wordpress-seo-is-changing-my-slug/
Regards.
