• I have a very large site (lot of graphics and photos) and doing a complete backup and restore can take hours.
If I update a plugin and it crashes my site, can I revert back by simply copying the old plugin back into place and restoring the DB from right before I upgraded that plugin? (can manually save the DB and the plugin’s folder right before I try the upgrade)
Is there a plugin that can do this form me?
Or one that allows me to choose which folders to restore and which to leave as is?
I can do this manually, Assuming this method will actually work. I don’t want to waste my time testing it if this is a bad idea.
I understand some failed plugin updates might require a full website restore, I’d still have that as an option if needed.
