Selecting a translated post in the admin does not change the current language (3 posts)

    Hi there,

My issue is this: If I go to edit a translated post directly either by clicking on one of the pencil icons in the post list or in the languages box of an individual post, the translated post opens just fine but the "current language" in the admin bar (or as reported by pll_current_language) doesn't change. This creates problems with other plugins such as Posts 2 Posts because they don't see the language of the current post but the value of "lang". Is this functionality deliberate? If so, is there a hook I could use to make sure the language attribute in the query is set according to the current content?

I just realized that this doesn't only affect 3rd party plugins like P2P but also adding links to existing pages using the link tool in TinyMCE.

I don't know for P2P as I don't use it. However, for the link tool in TinyMCE that's clearly a bug. Can you check with the development version (
