The latest version no longer finds the available pages, posts, BuddyPress profile pages etc when you select that content type, also the plugin no longer recognises the config of existing sidebars.

    Thanks for reporting this.

This is most likely a conflict caused by another plugin. Deactivate them to find the one in question (if you recently added or updated some, try those first).

If you have the plugin BadgeOS enabled, that is most likely the problem: https://github.com/opencredit/badgeos/issues/549

This is my basic tewst install, just BuddyPress. bbPress and Sidebars running

Can you check that your PHP settings has ASP tags disabled? That setting conflicts with the JavaScript used in the sidebar admin screen.

You can also disable it in .htaccess: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/14694116/how-to-disable-asp-style-php-tags-within-a-specific-file

I don’t understand though, the previous version worked on my systems, why would this have changed?

Yes then it shouldn’t be the PHP settings either.

Did you try it with another theme?
When editing a sidebar, can you upen up a web console (usually by pressing F12), refresh the page and tell me if it says anything in the Console tab?

I’ve tried it on two themes so far, 2016 and Graphene, it behaves the same on both

That is very strange. I can unfortunately not reproduce the problem.

If you want, I can take a personal look at it right now, just create an admin user for support [at] dev.institute. You can delete the user afterwards.

Thank you for the access. When I add conditions, I do not see any problems though. If you go to the Forum Sidebar and Activity Sidebar now, you’ll see conditions there.

When you want to add a condition to a sidebar, click “– Select content type –“, and then click on the added input field to choose individual items. Afterwards, click “Save Changes”.

I did find a small problem. Apparently the “Action” option wasn’t set on the sidebar (probably all), so you’ll have to click “Update” on each sidebar again after adding conditions. I don’t know how this happened – did you import the sidebars from another site, or did you create them in the admin panel?

Also note that because you’re using bbPress forums in conjunction with BuddyPress Groups, the “Forums” condition will not work as expected, but I am working on fixing this.

Yes all the sidebars lost their actions and I can’t select new ones. I’m not seeing the added input field. I wonder if it could be my browser, my normal pc died on me this is a backup, it’s running IE 11

I can confirm that there is a bug when using Internet Explorer 11. You will not be able to see or edit the added conditions in that browser, but they shouldn’t be lost.

Would it be possible for you to use Firefox or Chrome in the meantime?

Thanks for confirming, not on this machine, it’s rather limited
