    Hello Takis,

Thanks for taking the time to help people! This is very much appreciated.

As we keep full width images big for large screens, I still see that some 1 meg images are downloaded when I test them in opera developers tools. A dozen hard refreshes did not help either. I hope you can shine a light on this mystery.

Also I have no idea how to test my website on android. Do you know of a tool that does the same as the developer tools on desktop?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Joris and the HOME Team.

I regenerated all the resolutions of all images. I guess that’s why I do not see the adaptive-images folder being populated. Am I right?

    I picked up the snippet
    <script>document.cookie='resolution='+Math.max(screen.width,screen.height)+'; path=/';</script>
from somewhere and put it in the header of the theme (Sydney) we are using. It does not seem to help so I deleted it again.

    Hello, Joris,

I am always happy to help out! 🙂

I took a look at your website and the Adaptive Images seems to work fine. I am not sure if the Opera developer tools actually works as expected. When testing from Firefox (or Chrome) this is what I do: first I check that the special cookie is set correctly like this http://prntscr.com/j8qujz/ and then I check an image to see if the correct size of it has been set like this http://prntscr.com/j8qv3y/.

Also, we have some debugging urls which work like this: http://www.homecommunity.pt/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/15137624_558025147714413_3634846435611574791_o.jpg?debug=true (note the debug=true at the end of the url).

As far as checking in Android, I believe that both Firefox and Chrome have a special mode where you can connect your Android via USB to your computer and then debug websites that you load in your mobile phone but from within your computer. I think this link explains this stuff, but, if the checks which I mentioned earlier work, then this will probably work as well, too.

I also like testing website with this tool http://webpagetest.org/, which also has real mobile devices to test on!

Let me know if you need anything else.

    Cheers,
    Takis

    Hello Takis.

You can close this topic as resolved. It was my browser that borked your plugin. I tried a fresh firefox instance and image sizes are sent according to screen size like they are supposed to.

    Thanks for this amazing plugin!
