Hello @horiamar
Thank you for trying our plugin.
I am sorry to read about your issue. We tested the plugin and it runs on any version of WordPress since version 4.4. So most probably this is a problem with something else rather than WordPress.
Since WP Activity Log 3.2.5 was released, almost 3 years ago, we released another 35 updates. So it could also be that the upgrade process is failing. Since you are using very old versions of the plugin and WordPress, the best way forward is to:
1) upgrade to the latest version of WordPress
2) Upgrade WP Activity Log gradually. First update to version 3.5, then to 4 and then to the latest version.
Most probably the best solution would be to upgrade WordPress, enable the setting to “delete all database data upon uninstall” in WP Activity Log, and install the latest version. By doing so you will loose all existing data, however, you do not have to upgrade gradually.
Please keep us posted on how you proceed.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
@robert681
thank you for your kind reply and useful details!
Yes, the WP I was using was old, indeed! (I managed to update to 5.1 in the meantime). I Thought to warn other “oldie” users. But if you tested it, it has of course another cause. Thanks!
