seems like a hostile takeover of the real CF7

    It feels like the plugin was captured from CF7, it appears to me like a hostile takeover, bringing bloat into my dashboard.

    Worst of all, it suddenly appeared beside my plugins, never actively installed it by myself.

    I just wanted to clarify the situation. Previously, this plugin was called Honeypot for Contact Form 7. We’ve recently rebranded it to CF7 Apps. Along with the rebrand, we introduced the hCaptcha feature, and we’re currently working on a Form Entries feature, which will be available soon.

    It looks like you have auto-updates enabled, which is why the plugin was automatically updated and is now showing under its new name in your dashboard.

    I completely understand how this may have felt unexpected, but please rest assured this is the same plugin you were using before—just with a new name and added features.

    We’d also like to make a humble request: if you could try out the plugin and share your insights and rating, it would mean a lot to us. Your feedback is incredibly valuable, and it helps us improve further.
