Seeking audio player with short sample ability

    I’m working on a site for a band and they want want to display an audio player “jukebox” sort of thing, but only allow it to play a certain portion of each song, allowing visitors to listen a sample of each song but not allowing them to download the entire song.

    Ideally I’d like to be able to host their MP3 files on a cloud service such as Google Drive or something similar, and have a plugin that creates a nice interface to display each album with song lists and ability to play a sample of each song, but I could also user a plugin that pulls the audio from the same server that the site is hosted on.

    The main goal is a nice modern / html5 player that will display the track listing for each album and allow the visitor to listen to a sample of each song without allowing them to download the mp3 files directly. (They want to sell CD’s , not allow people to download full songs and albums for free).

    We already have a way to sell the physical CD product and ship it, that’s no problem.

    Just need a nice clean (hopefully a bit customizable) player widget that allows me to select the duration of each sample of each song, and create a separate “player box”for each album.

    This might seem rudimentary to some folks, but I can’t seem to find an HTML5 / MP3 player plugin that isn’t “all or nothing” and/or doesn’t prevent visitors from downloading full tracks.

    Hi,

    I found some plugins:

    1. Html5 Audio Player
    2. Compact WP Audio Player
    3. CP Media Player

    According to the first two plugin’s description:

    If you are selling audio files from your site then you can use this plugin to offer a preview.

    According to the third plugin’s description:

    Allows selling files from the player, using PayPal as payment gateway. Payments are SCA ready (Strong Customer Authentication), compatible with the new Payment services (PSD 2) – Directive (EU)

    Display a sales report to check easily the amount of sales.

    You should try these plugins. They may help you. 🙂

    Thank you for replying @bizanimesh !

    I’ve been looking at those (and others) and unless I’m just missing it, I don’t see where they have the ability to:

    – Just play a short sample / preview of the song track (unless selling digital downloads, but my client is selling physical CD’s and not downloads)

    – Load / play the MP3 file from a cloud service such as Google Drive (not a big requirement, but certainly would help)

    I’ll take another look at all 3 of those again to see what I might have missed, if anything.

    They have written those things in the plugin description.

    So I’m supposing that features to be there in the plugin.

    I want you to please visit the plugin settings again. 🙂

    I checked Html5 Audio Player and from the demo it seems to only show single track player, not a “jukebox” interface for a a full album with album cover image. The Compact audio player, same thing. With CP Media Player, it provides a somewhat clunky jukebox interface, and still does not appear to have ability to limit tracks to just a sample instead of whole track, and seems focused on digital download purchase. We’re looking for something that shows a nice playlist with ability to add alum cover image and limit listening to just 30 seconds of each track.

    My apologies if I’m overlooking something, but I’m not seeing the features in them that I mentioned in my firs post.

    Please also try this one.

    If it also not working for you, then you may find paid plugins with your requirements on some online platforms like: ThemeForest, MOJO Marketplace or any other trusted platforms.
