Hi there,
The latest default WordPress theme that supports header rotation is the Twenty Seventeen theme.
Check this guide to learn more about header media in the Twenty Seventeen theme:
https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/twenty-seventeen/#header-media
You don’t need to create a child theme to use the header media feature in Twenty Seventeen theme.
Hope this helps!
Hi@mohamedkhafaja,
Thanks for your advice.
At the very early stage I ran “Cimy Header Image Rotator”. The images, automatically rotated inside the Header, are upload to website by me. Now this plugin is no more supported. I still have it running on some of my websites.
Regards
Edit:
Just checked Twenty Seventeen theme. I remenber I have used this theme sometime before. It is still an old Header Rotator theme

Hey @satimis
I think you are better off using a slider plugin that would allow you to add a slider to the header. Look up the WordPress plugins repo. using the term “slider.” You should find a few plugins that fit your needs.
Cheers
Hi@mohamedkhafaja,
If I couldn’t find new theme with header rotation, I’ll go back to Theme Twenty Eleven which caters my need. I can upload photos for rotation to replace the original photos coming with the Theme.
In the past I need creating Child-Theme. I don’t whether it is still necessary.
