Security risks?

  • Being new to WP, I’m eager to learn as much as I can as soon as possible about it.

I was wondering if there are any security threats that I might need to know about and take measures to prevent. I’m aware of the spam-fighting plugins, but is there anything else in the way of plugins that will help protect my blog or other non-plugin related measures I need to take?

    Thanks for any advice! 🙂

  • just know, if you put even a single character wrong in any line of coding, people will hack in, steal your password, steal your identity, steal your soul, give you HIV via an infected needle, lower your cars gas mileage, rob your bank account, raise taxes, raise your cholestorol, make you gain 75lbs, void any car/health/homeowners insurance you have and finally reposses your house and leave you for dead in a ditch…

Nah, just kidding, WP has a pretty good security measures, and the team are pretty quick to fix any major security holes when they are discovered…

Thanks, gregorsmith. From what I’ve seen at these forums, I agree that we’re in good hands here. 🙂
