# Security Key Required?

 * Is the security key required? I can’t seem to get the app to work. But I didn’t
   enter a security key because it didn’t seem as though it was required.

 * If you turn on ‘secure mode’ in Intercom then you will need to enter a key, but
   if you don’t enable it then it should work fine without one.

 * I’ve just taken a look at Intercom and it looks as though they have now made 
   secure mode mandatory.
 * You will need to go to “Enable secure mode” in Intercom and copy and paste your
   Intercom secret key into the “Security Key” field on the settings page.
 * I will update the plugin in the next couple of days to make it clear that secure
   mode is no longer optional.

 * I’ve just released version 0.6 which now makes ‘secure mode’ compulsory.
