"Security header is not valid" (I'm paying for a fix, FREE membership)

    I have an ssl on webuypinball.com. My API credentials from PayPal are installed correctly. Yet I keep getting a “Security header is not valid” when trying to join.

    This site is NOT the main domain name. It resides in a sub directory. Getting the ssl to verify took an extra step (and an extra week). Could that folder be tripping me up here as well?

    Any help on this topic will be a great help!

    If you are an arcade game collector and fix this issue I will give you free access for a year as a THANK YOU! Google “Sell arcade game” or “Sell Pinball Machine”. Lets just say I get lots of hits.

    Hey there,

    There are a few issues which could be causing this, and a few different PayPal gateways. Which one are you using? We typically advise against using PayPal Standard because of various issues – you can read more about that here: http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/2013/09/read-using-paypal-standard-paid-memberships-pro/. You can also check out this blog post on resolving HTTPS/SSL issues: http://www.paidmembershipspro.com/2013/08/debugging-httpsssl-issues/
    Try these first and see if they help.

    Jess,

    I’m using “PayPal Express”. As for ssl issues… I the SSL is still having issues on non smart phones. So “dumb” phones still can’t even go to the page. I’m thinking of dumping webuypinball.com into the main folder of my hosting account. Currently it is in a subfolder (and I think its causing issues on the ssl).

    I checked some ssl checker and it said that older browsers would not be able to handle it.http://goo.gl/Uu1ZML (SSL checker) this one didn’t say that.</a

    I’ll check into the debugging link later tonight.

    Jess,

    It was a plug-in issue!!! I killed all plugins, and it now brings me to PayPal.

    I was playing around with “Easy Flash Embed” and I think that was it. I’m not even sure why I even had it running! I hate flash!
