Security for an offline WordPress installed on an online computer (2 posts)

I run Fedora 17 reguarly updated. I have installed wordpress from rpms.

I want to run a shadow of a wordpress server. As I often go online, sometimes for days, I want to take some securing measures to make sure wordpress is accessible only to me. Aside from someone searching the hard drive for the actual files, the rest should not be available to someone searching from outside.

Are there documents about this kind of security for mysql and apache?

The best thing to do would be to configure the firewall on Fedora to not allow connections to the web server (typically ports 80 and 443) and the MySQL server (typically port 3306).

Information on the firewalld service is available at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FirewallD.
