Securing Ultimate Member uploads

Hi, i was wondering if there was any documentation on securing wp-content/uploads/ultimatemember?

Currently when a new user registers to the site by default images they uploaded as part of registration are entirely public. A new user gets a folder and their uploads are placed in there by the register form.

If i lock this down it breaks the registration procedure as permissions are required to actually apply the image you’ve chosen.

I essentially want the users information to be entirely private to them and the wordpress admin, how can this be achieved? I don’t want anybody being able to crawl the site and download peoples pics.
