I am helping in the troubleshooting and setup of a WordPress blog with many community blog users. When ordinary users post a blog, they are able to edit it afterwards, but they are also able to edit the comments to that blog post. I don’t want them to have that ability, or even to see the comment section below the editor on the edit post page. This blog has editors and admins who should have full access to edit comments, but NOT ordinary authors–i don’t want them to have access to edit anyone else’s comments. What’s the right combination of permissioning, plugins, etc. to close this security hole? Thanks.
