Secure Order Form Option (4 posts)

This seems like a really dumb question, but we need to set up a "secure order form" instead of using a payment gateway to process credit cards. The customer would just fill in all of the relevant credit card information which we then process manually once their product(s) are ready to either be shipped or picked up in store.

The problem with that, is that most web hosting setups aren't configured in such a way that a truly secure order form - to the degree that PCI requires - is actually possible.

You could use the "cheque" or "pay on pickup" payment method, where they don't enter any payment information when the order is placed, and then click "send invoice" on the order to prompt the customer for payment.

There might be a better way to do this, but you can't store cc info on your server.

actually, I just stumbled upon this

I'm not totally sure it's PCI compliant, but it does exactly what you want.
