  • Have you spoken to your host. Looks like your SSL certificate is misconfigured.

    It’s also possible you only have an ‘unsigned’ certificate. This means the data’s encrypted, but it’s not verified by a 3rd party, and some browsers don’t like that.

    Free signed certificates are available through Let’s Encrypt, but you’ll need to talk to your host about getting that set up.

    Happy New Year! Thank you very much for your help.

    Meanwhile, my host has offered a solution… I added a SSL certificate several months ago. It seems to be a mixed content problem on my website which my exigent Firefox browser has detected. The latest Firefox version that I installed a couple of weeks ago is much less tolerant of mixed content. Having installed and used the plugin SSL Secure Content, the problem is almost gone. However, I need to manually check some older links. Then, everything should be fine.
