This happens just about every time I upgrade Jetpack. (I upgrade manually.) And then after a few hours of it not working, it will randomly work.

I’m trying to connect Jetpack to WordPress.com, but keep getting the following two errors (it varies which one I get):

Error Details: The Jetpack server encountered the following client error: Secret mismatch

Error Details: The Jetpack server encountered the following client error: Verification secrets not found

This is most likely caused by caching issues. Do you use a caching plugin on your site or does your hosting provider install its own caching plugin on your site?

If so, could you try flushing your cache after updating?

Let me know how it goes next time! We actually plan on releasing Jetpack 4.5 tomorrow so you can test it then.

    Hi,

Yeah, I have the same issue on a self-hosted blog. No cacheing apps are in use.

    Ideas?

@aksu358 Could you try to deactivate and delete Jetpack from the Plugins menu in your dashboard, and then reinstall it from scratch?

Let me know if it helps.

    Hi – yup better now.

I had tried disconnecting and reconnecting, but decativating and reactivating seems to have helped.

    Thanks.
