After updating the field seems to be missing in post editor. Have checked the settings and “posts” is checked. Not sure if this is an isolated case or anyone else having the same problem?

Another thing is using quotes ” in the field breaks it. Hope you can fix this too.

That sounds like a bug. However, I’ve can’t manage to reproduce it. Have you tried disabling all plugins but Secondary Title and switching back to a WP default theme?

I’ve just released a hotfix (0.9.1) which – hopefully – fixes your problem(s). The issue with the quotes should be fixed for sure, but since I can’t reproduce the bug you have on “edit post” view, I’m not 100% sure if that one has also been fixed by the changes I’ve made. Would be nice if you could report on that.

That hotfix works! All perfect now, thanks for fixing it so quickly.

Hi thaikolja, unfortunately I’m getting the issue again. It disappears randomly, not sure if it’s a conflict with other plugins. It was working fine in v0.8 though.

It’s a live site so I might have to test it offline, and since you can’t reproduce the problem, it should be a isolated issue to my wordpress setup. I will revert back to v0.8 for now.

    Thanks again.

Yeah, I’m quite sure this must be a conflict with another plugin. I suspect it’s within JS/jQuery. You can try one thing if you’re using Chrome:

    1. Go to your admin area and press F12.
    2. Switch to “Console” tab.
    3. Now edit a few posts and see if there’s an error highlighted in red or any other output at all.

If that doesn’t work, please try downloading this modified version of the plugin’s /scripts/admin.js and replace it with your current one. Any changes?

By the way, are the quotes working probably now?

Thanks for your help so far.

I am having the same issue. The console just shows me “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘create’ of undefined – measureIt.js:120” but I don’t know what do do about it.

Swichting back to 0.8, too! Any help is appreciated.

    Weird… Well, I wish I could reproduce that error, but I can’t.

What plugins are you (actively) using?

I uploaded a list with my plugins here: https://privnote.com/n/qfioyitxblwzyveb/#ewzwzeakgvwvhupg

Eww, look’s like I’m too late. Could you repost the list?

    Yeah, sure, sorry.

Just check here, I uploaded a debug log with all my plugins: https://www.dropbox.com/s/60akipcvcy7ol0x/debug.rtf

The modified admin.js worked. After more testing, I realised the problem (with the original admin.js) only occurs during creating a new post. The secondary title field will only appear after saving as draft or publishing the post.

Not sure if that’s any help but anyways with the modified admin.js it is working well now. Thanks.

That’s good to hear. Now it would be helpful if pesunites could report if the different admin.js solves his problem, too. Thanks for your help so far, much appreciated.

Yeah it’s working here, too! Thank you both for your help. If anything changes, I let you know.

    Cheers

Great! Thanks for your help, guys.

If you could do me one more favour and check if everything runs fine with my last changes, I’m gonna release the fix right away.

You can download the newest version here.

    Thanks a lot.

Installed it and it seems to work! Will tell you if there are any problems again.
