# secondary role

 * I am able to upload users with the default role of subscriber. I am wanting to
   still keep that functionality, but then add a secondary role to users that get
   imported without having to list subscriber in the spreadsheet. Is that possible?

 * If you read the documentation and you look for “Role” you will read the answer:
 * Creating a column called role.
 * Multiple roles can be imported creating **a list of roles** using commas to separate
   values.

 * I did that, but wanted to see if there was a way to add the role without needing
   to specific the default role I wanted each user to have. I can work around it
   though. Thanks!

 * If you use role colmun you don’t need to set the default role.
