 * I’ve been running WP for about a year no problem, I recently installed a second
   installation of WP in a subdirectory for a woocommerce store. I noticed the homepage
   for the main website would load but all links give “404 Not Found The requested
   URL was not found on this server”. I tried logging in to the WP admin page but
   it tells me the password is incorrect, i tried clicking on “lost your password”
   link but it also says “Not Found”
 * My website: [http://www.laundrysystemscarolina.com](http://www.laundrysystemscarolina.com)
 * Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 * Hi there,
 * Another fellow upstater here. 🙂
 * How did you go about installing the copy in the subdirectory? It’s looking like
   maybe there are some missing files now in the original install. Are you comfortable
   with copying the WordPress files back into the main site folder?

 * I created the directory using FTP (filezilla) then installed WP into that directory.
   Are there certain files I need to copy into the original directory?
 * thanks for the help!

 * Is there any way to save individual pages in case I have to wipe it clean and
   start with a new install?

 * The page and post content are stored in the database. Wiping out the WordPress
   files themselves won’t delete the content. If you reinstall WordPress, just hook
   it into the same database and you’ll be good. That database info (name, host,
   login info) is stored in the wp-config.php file in the root of the web folder.
