For now, you have to add fonts separately in custom fonts plugin.

Yes, I saw the task on github … but it is from february… this is why I asked for it will be implemented.

I have bumped the priority for this task in our internal issue tracker, We will try to get this implemented very soon along with more plugins and theme supports in the next update for the custom fonts plugin.
Oh, good to hear that the priority for this has been increased.
I came looking for the EXACT same thing after checking the Github request date. Looking forward to this getting finalized. Then I can start using the plugin vs coding them in. 🙂
