# Second step fails

 * Hi,
 * so with the previous versions I’ve never had any troubles with the installation.
   
   Now when I try to install WordPress, the second step after I filled in all the
   information needed, seems to fail.
 * An empty screen (where a confirmation message should pop up) is the result. When
   I try to login it says my username doesnt exist or my combination is not correct.
   So when I check my users table in the database, it seems to be empty?
 * How can I fix this so my installation will be smooth as how it always was?

 * That would mean that PHP is crashing.
 * Would you please ask your hosting provider what version of PHP is installed on
   your server, and to double-check the configuration?
