Seating Chart?

    Franky,

    Have you ever considered building a customizable seating chart into this plugin? For me personally, I’m trying to set it up to use as a user registration script for LAN parties. Would be great to have a seating chart linked up as well that would allow my attendees to pick their own seat, and their friends to be able to see where they’re sitting.

    Just a thought.

    I wouldn’t even have an idea of where to begin with that. So sorry, not for now just yet. Any pointers are appreciated though.

    For me personally, I would have no idea. I can’t write code, only sometimes have a general understanding of what it’s doing enough to modify it slightly.

    There is another semi-dormant plugin out there called wp-seatingchart. It’s very simple by design, but it’s got the groundwork laid out. That’s about the best I can offer. http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-seatingchart

    I may have a few more questions for you around formatting and whatnot, adjusting the plugin to do a couple of things for me. Should I just ask here on this forum, or would you like for me to perhaps send you an email?

    This seems like a very interesting example to build upon.
    It will take some time to understand and implement this though …
