Hey @vollwicked – could you provide some extra information. Do you have a link to your site? Which plugin are you using for your table rates? WooCommerce core only comes with flat rates and free shipping, not with table rates.
If you are using Table Rate Shipping purchased on WooCommerce.com, please contact us at WooCommerce.com > My Account > Tickets. If you are using another plugin, please contact the plugin developers for this.
I’ll mark this thread as resolved for now as it seems this is not related to WooCommerce core.
Hi Job,
i have a purchased item from code canyon:
https://codecanyon.net/item/table-rate-shipping-for-woocommerce
I contacted the developer and he says it comes not from him. He says it is wooocommerce.
I can provide a login link. the site is still in development.
Thanks a lot
Stefan

Hey @vollwicked – first of all, please don’t share login details here as this is a public forum.
Second, WooCommerce doesn’t add words to shipping methods that aren’t part of core, so I’m really not sure why this developer thinks that this is part of core. Does the word get added as well if you use a different shipping method? If not, then it’s their plugin that’s causing this.
Hi,
the word get added on free shipping only.
Thanks

Hey @vollwicked – I’m a bit confused, you said earlier that it’s added to your table rate. Can you please share a screenshot of you shipping settings? I recommend https://snag.gy for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL in this chat. It works with Chrome, Firefox and Edge.
Can you also give me a link to your site so I can have a look?

Hi @vollwicked – that’s not the free option that is used there, but the table rate of the plugin.
It’s almost impossible to find out how your developer is coding this or where he’s pulling this from. The only thing I can see, is that WooCommerce will display “Free!” if the shipping cost is free, but that includes an esclamation:
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/blob/c4d83e19dbe193cd43e97c8bf40ccb82703364ad/includes/abstracts/abstract-wc-order.php#L1756
I have searched the translation files for WooCommerce core as well, and the string “Free” is simply not used at the checkout: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/woocommerce/dev/es/default/?filters%5Bterm%5D=Free&filters%5Buser_login%5D&filters%5Bstatus%5D=current_or_waiting_or_fuzzy_or_untranslated&filter=Filter&sort%5Bby%5D=priority&sort%5Bhow%5D=desc&page=3 – whatever is adding this word there, it’s not WooCommerce.
Please present my responses back to the developer of the other plugin.
Thanks for your amazing support. I disabled and activated all plugins and nothing disabled this word ! free 😀
I wrote the developer and attached your post to it.
