I cannot get my wordpress to search for plug-ins (which was working fine an hour ago) I added a plug-in.... about an hour later i tried looking for another plug-in and I get a blank page with this message

An unexpected error occurred. Something may be wrong with WordPress.org or this server’s configuration. If you continue to have problems, please try the support forums.

    Try again

I have tried disabling all my plug ins, deleting the last plug in I installed, switching to the twenty-eleven theme (I made my own custom theme, but left 2011 untouched), and even tried accessing my dashboard from a different browser.

Any thoughts on what could be causing this?
    Thank you.

Try resetting the plugins folder via FTP - sometimes deactivating the usual way doesn't completely do it:

Hi! I'm just chiming in. I just experienced the same issue with one exception. I was working in my site and the add plugin/search plugin section was working fine last evening when I used it last (didn't install anything) and I went back to this just now to pick up my search where I left off last night and I am now receiving this identical message. This one is on Godaddy. I checked my installation (using the same framework) on a different host and that one is working fine. Is this something that Godaddy may have done?

Er, ok? Now it is working again. Thanks!

Yeah, I didn't change anything, and it seems to have gone back to normal. I am also hosted on GoDaddy... Maybe just some kind of server hiccup? Really odd.
