• I have been using the search widget on my site jerrysguitarbar.com for 2 years. It always worked fine but from (I think) the upgrade to version 4.0, it still returns accurate results, but the page titles are not clickable as they used to be.

Users can still get to the page by clicking ‘read more’ but that’s much less intuitive than clicking the page title as it used to be.

Is it a bug or a feature change?

  • The search results for your website are done by your theme not the WordPress core. I think the theme may be conflicting with a plugin or the WordPress core.

Try contacting your theme developer in there WordPress support forum. Also try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

I expect the change is deliberate and is to do with accessibility standards, ie a title should be a title not a link.
