# Search using multiple fields?

 * I have the fields “first name” and “last name” in my database. Is it possible
   for a user to be able to search by multiple fields?
 * Also, is it possible to remove the search column filter that forces you to choose
   a column to search?

 * Search on multiple fields is possible, but currently it can only be accomplished
   with a custom search code. I am in the process of creating an add-on for this,
   also a tutorial on creating your own…but that’s not ready yet.
 * If you’re familiar with PHP, I’d suggest taking a look at the “pdb-list-detailed”
   template it gives you control over the elements in the search control. You may
