Relevanssi works great, but I have a strange problem with search term matching which may be javascript/AJAX related; it lists items from the site that match, but it also lists search terms that appear to be coming from various files and email posts on my Macbook Pro. Site’s using Divi theme, and I’ve added a Search … menu item that brings up a modal dialog that allows users to use Relevanssi to search site content, and provides a link to the site Shopify store to search for products.

For example: entering f in the search field suggests farm, fish and game warden, functions, and facetwp as options. None of these terms are used in the site. And the match suggestions only appear in Firefox, not in Safari or Google Chrome (they don’t appear at all on an iPhone).

Note that the searches are working fine — it’s the search suggestions that appears to be having the problem.

I tried your site. For starters, I get different search fields with Chrome and Firefox, and neither of those offers any suggestions, so it doesn’t look like you have any AJAX search features installed. Since the weird suggestions only appear in Firefox, it’s probably just general Firefox form input suggestions.

In any case, this has nothing to do with Relevanssi. Relevanssi doesn’t have any search suggestion feature in the first place.

OK, that makes sense. It explains why I’m seeing this in Firefox but not in Safari or Chrome. Thanks.
