Search taxonomy only works when logged as admin

I am using the theme framework wp-casa. The theme has a custom post type named property and I can assign a location to each property (it is a default custom taxonomy with the theme). My problem is that when I try to search a property with a certain location (as a visitor), every property show up instead of the ones with the location I want. But when I am logged in as admin, the search will show the properties with the location I want.
I tried to deactivate every plugin one by one and the problem resolved itself when I deactivated Advanced Access Manager.
