If you wish I can have a look at your site. You can send a WP admin and an FTP access to my email andrea@dontdream.it
I can’t give access like that for member privacy reasons – I will try to recreate in a simple configuration….
That’s fine, I only need to see a site reproducing the issue.
Its proving tricky… a trivial construction doesn’t reproduce it.
Hi Martyn,
I think there is a plugin incompatibility here, and one incompatible plugin I know of is “bbPress Post Toolbar”. Are you using that plugin?
If not, could you find the incompatible plugin (if any) so I can try and remove the incompatibility?
Its looking theme related – With a small user count DB, I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue at all, but with my fully loaded DB I can reproduce simply with. buddypress 1.8 and search 3.4.1 .
With just those loaded;
bp-columns and bp-mag demonstrate the problem
2012 and bp-default are OK
I tried taking the members/ templaces from bp-default to bp-mag but the problem is still present.
The pagination href generated by default and 2012 are wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?upage=2 , where bp-mag pagination are links to /members/?upage=2 I am guessing this is close to the root of the problem.
Do you have access to bp-mag (buddydev)?
I suggest you add users to your test site until the problem is reproduced, then I’ll be more than happy to debug it.
To add users you could use the plugin “BuddyPress Default Data” or a similar one.
Mkay – I have isolated the working/not working critical ingredient to a “not plugin” loaded from the header – consequently suspect some kind of jQuery version issue or similar…
Good catch! I’m always available to debug the issue on your test site, please let me know.
Hey Andrea,
I do have the exact same issue here with the pagination and after some time testing all possible solution I ended up that it would be a conflict with Buddypress-wall plugin.
(unique solution to have it work properly is by de-activating buddypress-wall)
I’m still searching where this conflict could come from but can’t find it so far…
Do you think you could have a look at this conflict?
Thanks a lot for the great plugin!
Cheers,
–Olivier
Hi Olivier,
I’m certainly going to look into this conflict. Thank you for your feedback!
Hi Olivier,
I found no problems using BuddyPress Wall together with BP Profile Search. May I debug on your test site the issue you found?
Hey Andrea,
Yeah I finally saw that too! So spent the last hours activating plugins one by one (have a lot network wide and some on main site…). It finally ended up that it truly works when rtMedia (ex Buddypress Media) is deactivated… (at least is what i’ve seen…)
I can surely grant you access to my staging environment, just let me know where i can send you the details.
Thanks a lot for your help!
Olivier,
I’m already aware of the conflict with rtMedia, and I’ll release the fix very soon. Thank you!
Just released BP Profile Search 3.5.1. It should fix the conflict with rtMedia, not sure if it fixes the issue experienced by Martin.
