• I have noticed that the search results of ajax search lite plugin is showing HTML Code of a printer icon <a class="icon_printer" href="javascript:window.print()"><span></span></a> which is located beside the page title I entered as a code module via DIVI Theme.

Screenshot Search Results with HTM Code

Is there any idea how to avoid that or make that invisible for the search?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hi!

It looks like it’s a leftover HTML, which the plugin was not able to close and remove properly. I’ve seen it happen on very rare cases, when the content is cut in the middle of the remaining HTML code.

Try resolving it by increasing the description length on the Layout Options -> Results Layout panel: http://i.imgur.com/40a3MHd.png

Also, check for the “What to do with shortcodes in results content?” option on the Advanced Options panel, it should be set to “Remove them, keep the content”: http://i.imgur.com/hpwNUWg.png

    Hi!

thanks for your answer and tipps.
I tried to solve this according to your tipps, but the HTML still shows up in the search results. I tried to create a shortcode for the HTML Snippet in the functions.php and included the shortcode instead of HTML. This will avoid showing the code.

Maybe this will be the best solution for now.
