    Hi,

    My website is using the upTown theme and I have a “search” widget in my right menu. When you type in a search term and click search, the search results page goes orange! It did not do this at first and I’m wondering what I’ve done?? Any one out there experience this before??

    thanks guys,

    Jess

    Yeah I see the problem and the cause! Try adding this rule declaration to your child theme:

    .search:hover {
    background: #E2E2E2;
    }

    it should do the trick 🙂

    I’m new to all this – I didn’t actually change anything in the theme…that I know of. Where is the cause? Sorry – also, where do I add that code? I know you’re supposed to have a child theme for when you update your theme but I don’t have one. Is there a part where I put it in my wordpress editor or do i have to go through my hosting site and use the ftp files??

    thank you!!

    Check this tutorial out https://managewp.com/how-to-create-a-child-theme and once you’re done put that code line I gave to your child theme Styles.css 🙂
