I set in the Genearal Options [sic!] of Ajax Search Lite (ASL) to search TablePress Tables too. If I click on a link in the search results it leads to a 404 error.

The TablePress tables are embedded in the website with shortcodes. Obviously ASL doesn’t correctly resolve the link to the embedded content, but tries to resolve an imaginary URL to the table content found.

For example, if you search at [ redundant link removed ] for the term “transparent”, ASL shows 3 results:
The first two hits are results from content of TablePress tables.
The third hit (with picture) is a result from normal website content. The link leads to the website correctly.

It doesn’t matter what I set in Advanced Options -> “What to do with shortcodes in results content?”

What can I do to link proper the found results to the website where the TablePress table is embedded?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

The problem is, that the tablepress content is not stored directly with the post content in the database (only the table shortcodes), thus the plugin is not able to find the posts based on the table contents.
Unfortunately it is not possible to resolve this within the free version (at least not yet). Within the Pro, there is a secondary engine implemented, which is capable of indexing the ‘visual’ content of the posts, including the tablepress table contents – by executing and indexing the shortcodes content into an own search table.

This feature will be eventually implemented in some way in the free version as well, although I don’t know the approximate date yet.

    Best regards,

Thank you for explaining. I will discuss the Pro with my CFO.
