    Hello,

I have a problem with the search results not showing all possible products in WooCommerce search. The link I provided shows all possible search results (using my themes search in header) for “bunny bedding”. Using the search form in sidebar (the plugin) I’m only getting one result, which is a very old product. Does it just take some time for the plugin to “know” the new products or am I missing something else?

    Thank you very much. Sincerely,
    Philipp

    Hi Philipp,

I guess you just need to enable searching in variable products. Try to enable ‘Search in Variations’ option that on screenshot 3.

    Hi Stanislav,

thank you for your reply. I’m afraid this won’t (and doesn’t) work because its not a variable product. The smart search doesn’t find any of my newly added products.

    Sincerely,
    Philipp

    Hi Philipp,

Could you please check also a visibility of that products? http://joxi.ru/1A5oYKRiKqx0zm
It should be “Shop and Search results”.

    Hi Stanislav,
yes this is also enabled. I can find the products with my themes search function and with smart search deactivated the default product search also works.

Okay I think I’ve figured it out.. sort of. There seems to be an issue with the WPML Plugin. Although my page is only available in German I need to have this plugin for some translation in my shops process. Deactivating the WPML and WPML String translation -> all products show up in search. Not quite sure whats the problem here since all my old products are fine and I only have one language activated.

Any ideas? Thank you very much,
    Philipp

    Thank you very much 🙂
If it helps I only have one language active in WPML, every setting on default and only use the string translation extension to translate some WC checkout texts.

    Hi Philipp,

After deeper investigating this issue I guess that you need to activate translations for ‘product’ type. You can do this on product edit screen page in the metabox http://joxi.net/gmvWXpjCx7Wvd2 or in WPML ‘Translation Options’ settings http://joxi.net/DmBPY87HN9az5A
