    Take a look at
    http://www.cross-currents.com/?s=problem

I’m not sure, but it looks like any results where the search term is in the title it displays the large feature graphic, and when the results are in the body of the post it displays the thumbnail. I don’t know if this is how its supposed to behave, but it’s kinda ugly.

How can I have it only display the thumbnail and excerpt results without those large graphic results? I want the results with the search term in the title, but I don’t want those large graphics messing up the results page. It should display thumbnails and excerpts in 3 columns, just like the layout of the rest of the blog.

    Thanks!
    MD

    Any thoughts on this?

Hi M. I just ran a quick test and the search results should be displayed based on the blog setting. If the default blog layout is selected it should display two posts per row with featured images above each excerpt (unless you’ve modified content.php to display three posts). If Standard Blog List is selected it should display posts in a single column with a smaller thumbnail to the left of the excerpt. I didn’t notice any difference in whether the search term was in the post title or the post content. Perhaps there’s a conflict with a plugin or some other modification that’s been made?

Thanks for your help. It was being caused by a plugin called “Twitter Tools”, which it turns out we didn’t even need. Everything works great now!

    Many Thanks, MD
