search resultas (documents) are not opening in new tab or window

    Hi,

    I’m using Knowledge Base (KB) (Echo plugin) for adding links to my site. I also have installed Relevanssi for better search results on my website.

    When searching the site, the articles are appearing but when clicking they are opening on the same page, although I have set all articles in KB to “open in new window”.

    Is there a way that the search results that are PDF’s or other links open in a new window?

    Knowledge Base settings don’t affect your search results template. You need to modify your search results template so that the links that you want to open in a new window include the target="_blank" parameter.

    It’s easy to fix if you want it to apply to all links, but if you only want it to apply to a subset of links, then it becomes slightly more complicated – but it’s still possible.

    Since you’re using Enfold, I would suggest asking Enfold support on how to do this.
