Hi, thanks for the awesome plugin, has been serving quite well till date but all of a sudden the search results are taking almost 10 seconds to load, did not face this problem before for the past 6 months. It’s even more slower when trying from a mobile device.

I am using a Gcloud vps lamp stack with 8gb ram and quad core processor. The site has around 1500 products with Woocommerce 4.2.2 running Comet Cache and Fast Velocity Minify.

    Pls help !

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

I checked your issue and the search took about 0.01 second but whole AJAX response took about 3 seconds. Your server response is slow and it isn’t related to my plugin. Why? Let me explain the difference between the Free and Pro versions.

The Free plugin version uses a native WooCommerce search engine. It means that the speed of AJAX response depends on many factors:

    1. How many plugins do you have?
    2. How many products do you have?
    3. How your WordPress is optimized?
    4. How your server is fast?
    5. How big is the search scope?

The Pro plugin version has a different search engine based on the fastest PHP search engine TNT Search. Also, I added a lot of tricks in the Pro version e.g. special SHORTINIT WordPress mode. It means, that every search query doesn’t need to load unnecessary files including all plugins, theme, and a big part of WordPress core files. So the search is always fast, no matter how many plugins you have or how your website is optimized (or not optimized).
The average speed of the AJAX response for 50 000+ products takes about 0.2 second per request (standard shared hosting). For users who have a fast server, it takes even less than 0.1 second. The Pro plugin as always ultra-fast.

    Best
    Damian
