Search not working in mobile format – Simplicity Theme (olegnax version)

I have a search box set up on the top menu bar and another on the side bar on most pages.

The search works fine when in normal browser mode but if you narrow the browser to mobile size the search box remains but the search function no longer works. The same happens with search box in the side bar. It becomes inactive.
