i want to show the approved member search to the public. but the search not working if I active BuddyPress Registration Options plugin.

i already contacted them, they said:
our plugin does is add some user meta to the user and check that value when they try to access BuddyPress/bbPress areas. If they’re marked as still pending, they get either a read-only view or limited to just their profile. We don’t do anything regarding “public visibility” at the user level. So that part may be coming from either a different area of BuddyPress itself, or perhaps a different extension.

    is there any solution?

I am creating a website where people will complete their profile after login,
admin will check the info then approve or deny,
Visitors will be able to search and see user profiles I approved.

there is a website like this https://ordhekdeen.com/ .
i am stuck with the approval system. help, please.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

@dontdream I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us escalating this to the plugins team.

It’s never necessary to do that. Here’s why.

There are many ways to get information you need and accessing the user’s site is not one of them. That’s going too far.

    You get the idea.

Volunteer support is not easy. But these forums need to a safe place for all users, experienced or new. Accessing their system that way is a short cut that will get you into real trouble in these forums.

@sterndata can you please hide those 2 website URLs I mentioned. otherwise, it will harm my privacy in the future. i tried to edit the post but there is no option.i will appreciate your help.

I’m sorry but no. Unless it is an extreme case, posts and replies are not edited here.

    Hi Steven,

Thank you for taking the time to explain this forum’s policy in detail, I’ll follow the rules from now on.

But sometimes I think the only way for me to understand the problem is to take a look at the user’s test site. In these cases, can I ask the user to repost the question on my support forum?
