Have you set Relevanssi to index the event
post type and have you rebuilt the index after adjusting that?

Hi Mikko,
Yes, I just re-indexed the site as well and that did not help. Are there any other steps I can try to troubleshoot this?
Sincerely,
Diana
I’m trying to force the search on your site to just return events, and looks like the search is using Relevanssi, as setting the Relevanssi post type parameter to event
does remove all the other post types from the search – but it doesn’t show the events. That would suggest some kind of indexing issue.
Does the Relevanssi admin search (Dashboard > Admin search) find the events?
You can try checking the wp_relevanssi
database table. The doc
column in that table contains the post ID, so you can search with the post ID of one of your test events to see if Relevanssi has indexed the event at all.

Hi!
So the issue is the Divi theme’s search module. I am getting this to work with the native WP searchbox and if I change the theme.
The Divi search adds all sorts of extra parameters to the search, and possibly restricts the search to just posts and pages. See the Divi settings: if there are settings for the allowed post types, that might help. But it may also be that the Divi search box just isn’t compatible with Relevanssi, and you need to use the native search box.

Mikko,
What’s interesting is I am using Relevanssi and Divi on another site and it works great. That site uses EventOn for events v. Event Manager Pro. Anyhow, I am working with Elegant Themes on the issue and it does work if I use the native WP search.
Thank you so much for helping me nail down this issue.
